Welcome to our website.
We are a small family run kennels in the North East of Scotland where we selectively breed, train and trial top class working cocker spaniels. My wife, Rhodella, and I grew to have a passion for working cockers after getting our first one FTCh Mallowdale Ria as an 8 week old puppy from Ian and Wendy Openshaw at Rytex Kennels. Even as a pup she looked exceptional and after only 9 months we sent her down to Shropshire for Ian to train and eventually trial - very successfully, I might add, for over 5 years. Ria, you could say, was the foundation stone for Glenugie Cockers. Because of her we have met people from all over the world and the friendships formed has been overwhelming - some of which have been invaluable in helping me learn about cockers. We only have one or two litters a year but if you are looking for a pup or part trained dog please contact us and we will try our best to help you.
